I see you.
Thank you.
Before the sun comes up, while it is just you and us, we want to say something we have not said enough. Your name may never be in the headlines. But it is written here.
- To those who used to march, and now watch from the window
We have not forgotten you.
- To those who used to shout, and now whisper
We still hear you.
- To those who lost a shop, a job or a friend because you spoke up
We grieve with you. You paid a price you should never have had to pay.
- To those who never made a poster or gave a speech
You are the spine of this.
- To you who shared the video when no one was watching
Thank you.
- To you who corrected the lie in your family WhatsApp group
Thank you.
- To you who stayed up all night watching the collation centre
Thank you.
- To you who fed strangers at the polling unit
Thank you.
- To you who prayed when there was nothing else to do
Thank you.
- To those who are still here
You are the reason this is still standing.
To you who corrected the lie in your family WhatsApp group: I see you. Thank you. #ISeeYou
You have no award. You have no headline. But you have our gratitude, and we will not waste it.
To you who flew home to vote. To you who stayed at the polling unit until the count was done. I see you. #ISeeYou
To you who printed posters with your own money. I see you. Thank you. #ISeeYou
To you who chased your PVC from office to office. I see you. #ISeeYou
To you wey talk to every customer for your shop. We see you. #ISeeYou
Tag the people who kept going
Think of one person who never gave up: the friend who shares, the auntie who prays, the neighbour who watched the count. Make them a thank-you picture and send it.
Someone is coming back
Some friendships did not survive the politics. Some people stopped coming. Their chair is still at the table.
Send one message today to someone who drifted away. Not an argument. Just: we miss you, and we need you for one more push.
We miss you at the table. No argument. Just one more push, together. 16 January 2027.
Giving up is not an option.
Not for you. Not for us. Not for Nigeria.
You are not invisible.
Your name may never be in the headlines. But it is written here. #ISeeYou
I see you, you wey dey carry this movement for your back. Thank you.
