The doctors left.
The schools shut.
Our children are stranded.

Education never got more than 7.92% of an APC budget. In 2026 it got about 6%, less than half the 20% they promised.

Universities

Two lost years

Between 2017 and 2022, strikes shut public universities for 647 days. That is almost two years stolen from every student who was in school at the time.

647 days. That is how long public universities were shut by strikes between 2017 and 2022. Nearly two years of our children’s lives.

Nigeria carries 29% of all the world’s mothers who die giving birth. The UN estimates 75,000 Nigerian women died this way in 2023.

In 2024, 855,676 Nigerian children died before their fifth birthday. That is about 2,300 small children every day.

Nurses, doctors, engineers, programmers: the people who should be building Nigeria are building Britain and Canada. In 2023 alone, the UK gave Nigerians 76,419 health and care worker visas, including family members.

Even leaving has become expensive. A passport cost ₦15,000 in 2017. Since September 2025 it costs ₦100,000, more than a full month of minimum wage.

A passport now costs ₦100,000. The minimum wage is ₦70,000. They made staying unbearable and leaving unaffordable.
